WATERCOLOR DANCE IN THE VILLAGE. UNSIGNED S.XX

Description:
Beautiful watercolor of a dance in a village. The watercolor is placed at the beginning of the second half S. XX It may well be from the previous era, and that it was located within the first half of S. XX.
It represents a popular scene of a village, in which a couple dances while a man plays a piccolo. Accompany the scene, three women sitting, four children and some animals.
The painting is done in brown tones, with a detail close to the miniature, and showing a dexterity with a high quality result.
The painting has not been disassembled from the frame, but based on the macro photos taken, we have deduced that the paper-cardboard supporting the watercolor is stuck to another paper-cardboard of almost equal size. In the same way, these two are stuck in turn to a third paper-cardboard, in this case larger in about 3mm on each side, so that it has allowed to make a black line in that margin, in order to frame the painting.
In our opinion, the block of the three 'paper-cardboard' glued together, has been glued to a support board of yellowish color, large enough to serve as a mat.
The frame is vintage, and has a small lack of plaster in the lower left corner.
It is advisable to disassemble the paint and perform a cleaning of the glass and a restoration and cleaning of the frame. It is a very interesting piece as a highly decorative object.
Comments: Due to the fact that the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, we must bear in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors. The piece presents the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws. The information provided here are personal opinions not contrasted.
