Description:
- Beautiful Empire style circular frame / portrait frame, from the second half of the 19th century.
- The frame is very simple, with a small border adorning the edge of the frame, and at the top, a pretty floral ornament.
- The artistic quality of the frame is very high, executed with great attention to detail and achieving harmonious and expressive effects.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information about the place where it was made, the manufacturer"s details, or any other information.
- The measurement of the thickness includes the folded back legs.
- We have the pair, preserved in similar condition.

Conservation and Damage:
- The frame is in a regular state of conservation, with several knocks and small breaks.
- All the original tabs that held the back cover in place have been broken and, therefore, it is not possible to keep the contents and glass of the frame in place. It would be very easy to put a mechanism to replace the tabs.
- The entire circular edge has several bumps, the plate having been bent, which prevents the glass and the lid from being able to be inserted. The plate can be easily straightened.
- The back leg for table-top use and the wall-hanging ring have been preserved.
- The gilding shows wear in some areas.
- The gilding is worn in some areas.

Comments:
- Measurements and weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector- Due to the unavoidable differences in tonalities between photos and reality, it must be taken into account that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
