Description:
- Tracer from the first half of the 20th century. It would probably belong to a compass box.
- The handle is of bone, the body is of white metal alloy and the reeds are of steel.
- The tips of the reeds are in very good condition. The distance between the reeds is adjusted by means of a metal wheel with a threaded pin that runs through the upper reed, threading into the lower reed.
- The base of the handle ends in a beautifully carved miniature ball.
- No distinguishing mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker, or any other information.
Conservation and damage:
- There are small dents and small scratches on the tips, due to use.
- The bone handle has small flaws and stains.
- The Object shows wear and tear typical of its age.
Comments:
- Measurements and weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and decorative element.
- Due to the unavoidable differences in tonalities between photos and reality, it must be taken into account that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
- The Object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos, which in turn are complemented in this Description, with the aim of providing a better knowledge of the Object, and never to be a detailed exposition of the same.
