Buy Damascene plate. Syria

- Circular plate, made of brass, inlaid with copper and silver wire, forming geometric drawings, from the First Half of the 20th century.
- In some small parts, the copper and silver wires have come off.
- The Plate is made up of a single sheet of brass, of considerable thickness, which provides a very robust result, having given it its shape by hammering and chiselling.
- The final result is a high quality object, with a precious work of careful care, which has given it a beautiful patina.
- This type of work corresponds to those carried out at the beginning of the 20th century in Damascus (Syria), from where the name Damasquinado comes, recovering the ancient Turkish styles, and following the ancient methods of treating metals. Similar styles have also been developed in Persia and Arabia.
