Buy Pill box. Damascene. Syria

- Circular pillbox in brass, inlaid with copper and silver wire, forming geometric drawings, from the First Half of the 20th century. On the cover there is the Hebrew cross, a detail of great interest.
- In some small parts, the copper and silver wires have come off.
- The lathe could have been used for the execution of the Box. It has considerable thicknesses, with a very robust and high quality result.
- La Cajita has a beautiful job of careful care, which has given it a nice patina.
- This type of work corresponds to those carried out at the beginning of the 20th century in Damascus (Syria), from where the name Damasquinado comes, recovering the ancient Turkish styles, and following the ancient methods of treating metals. Similar styles have also been developed in Persia and Arabia.
