Buy Workshop compass with curved tips. S.XVIII

Beautiful compass of curved tips, tool used to transport distances in various workshops, such as carpentry, sculpture, metalwork, etc. As well as used on site.
The compass is made of iron, with the arms worked on its edges, and bevelled in the last third of its ends. The bolt of the pivot shaft is riveted with blows, on two pieces of brass, in order to improve the ease of turning.
This compass has a fantastic patina, so, together with its characteristics, it can be placed in the Second Half of the eighteenth century, and could even be from a much earlier time.
It is rare that the pieces of these characteristics are in such a good state of conservation, with the iron practically clean, since generally they usually have enough rust.
Very interesting as a collector"s item and decorative element.
