Medal shaped as an intersection area of ??two circles, die-cut in aluminum. The style is a late neo-Gothic. Probably from the end of the First Half of the 20th century.
Obverse: Virgin standing on a ball of the world, with her arms crossed on her chest, crowned and bordered, on a background dotted with the symbol of the Marian congregation. This symbol comes from the Crismón, with the superimposed letters X (Chi) (K) and P (rho) that are the two first letters in Greek of the word Xpiotóc (Christos) (The Anointed One). Two bars hang from the two upper arms of the X, transforming the X into an M of Mary. The motto "Congregatio Mariana" is inscribed on the perimeter. "Ave Gratia Plena Dominus Tecum". (Marian Congregation, Ave full of grace).
Reverse: at the base it has two saints bordered, one with a chalice in his hands, sign of the Blood of Christ, and another with a Child Jesus in his hands, sign of the Birth of Christ"s childhood. Between them there is a bouquet of flowers from which a third saint appears, holding a crucifix in his hands, a sign of the sacrifice of Jesus for the World. Bordering the upper third, it has inscribed the motto: "ADJUTOR ET PROTECTOR FACTUS EST MIHI". (You are my helper and protector) (MIHI).
In the lower third, the motto is inscribed: "COR UNUM ET ANIMA UNA". (A Heart and a soul).
In the lower corner, the symbol of Mary "AM" is inscribed, the letter A linked with the letter M. Its meaning is Hail Mary. To the right of the lower corner, there is the inscription "AUSIÓ", corresponding to the author of the high reliefs. It presents certain wear and small blows in various parts. This medal is scarce. There are other more common medals, from the same Marian Congregation, similar in design, but not the same. A Marian Congregation is a group of Catholic faithful, with the majority of the Congregations linked to the company of Jesus. Very interesting as a collector"s item and decorative element.
