Engraving of a stained-glass window of the Cathedral of Chartres, probably in etching steel (it can be another type of plate and another technique). Monochrome print in black, with good printing. The drawing on which the engraving is made can be seen in Wikipedia. It represents Amaury VI (1195-1241), Count of Montfort, Condestable of France under the reign of San Luis. Amaury VI figure mounted on horseback, with armor mesh, helmet and shield with lion rampant, carrying a pennant. They probably may have been bound. The margins are sufficient, with full edges and no breaks, creases or bent. Fine paper of regular quality, glued by the corners to another paper. The paper is yellowish, with dirt and rust marks. The measurements are approximate. These engravings on clothing are rare to find. Very interesting as a collector"s item and decorative element.
