Buy Monk screaming. Pewter figure

- Small Pewter sculpture representing a Monk, with a gesture of shout or fright, in a subtle caricature representation of the character.
- The sculpture is located in the First Half of the 20th century.
- The sculpture is solid and made in one piece.
- The artistic quality is very good, with a magnificent result, highlighting its particular cartoony proportions and the spectacular movement that its contemplation transmits.
- The sculpture is made in quite detail and carefully finished, with no surface damage.
- Keep a nickel or chrome-look bathroom. Although it has not been analyzed, in our opinion it is nickel, which although it has been largely preserved, is missing throughout the figure. This circumstance, together with the wear of the most exposed parts, provides it with a very attractive patina.
- At its base it has - what appears to be - the PELTRO Contrast, a reading that we have reached (in our opinion) despite not being well distinguished. Peltro in Italian corresponds to Pewter in English, an alloy of tin, copper, antimony and lead, so we have deduced that its origin is most likely Italian.
- Of this type of small sculpture, very few have been made with good artistic quality. This figure was part of a group of Monks with different positions. In fact, we have another figure with a posture of surprise.
