Buy Instrument plumb bob WITHOUT Nut. 19TH CENTURY. Pear

- Instrumental plumb bob from the first half of the 19th century without a nut and therefore incomplete. It is possibly filled with lead, with a small threaded spherical head.
- The pear-shaped weight is 8,4 cm high, 3,1 cm in diameter and 155 g in weight.
- The Plumb bob is probably made in southern Europe.
- The Head is probably a later arrangement. The male of the thread is fixed to the Head with tin or lead. The Head is drilled vertically and horizontally to be able to pass the string.
- The body of the weight is made of bronze with an iron tip.
- It has a very good and beautiful patina throughout the plumb bob. The quality of execution of the Plumb bob is good.
- No distinguishing marks or contrasts have been found that could provide information on the place where it was manufactured, information on the manufacturer and data on it"s characteristics.

Conservation and damage:
- The Plumb bob is in good state of conservation, having the Weigh many, but very small blows and rubs, all corresponding to a quite careful use of the Plumb bob.
- The foundry of the Plumb bob has no imperfections.
