Description:
- Engraving by Inspruck. Capital of the western state of Tyrol in Austria. It is known for its imperial and modern architecture.
- The engraving shows an Inspruck street with characters from the period.
- All titles and signatures are outside the plate.
- In the upper margin it has the legend "Tyrol - Tyrol".
- On the lower margin is the legend "Inspruck".
- In the upper right-hand corner it is printed with the number "11", which suggests that the engraving is the number 11 of a series.
- In the lower right-hand corner, the Engraver signs as E. Lejeune.
- In the lower left corner, the artist signs as Vormser.
- In the lower margin, in the centre, the director signs as Lemaitre (Augustin François Lemaître).
- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, editor and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architectures and people, especially during his many travels around Europe.
- Etching on steel, although a different technique could have been used.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
Conservation and damage:
- General condition: Good.
- It is very well in ink, and has a good printing.
- Made in black monochrome tone, very good of ink.
- The upper side of the paper and the lateral margins do not maintain the parallel to its opposite side, resulting in the paper of the Engraving with an irregular shape.
- The Engraving has a thin and regular quality paper.
- The engraving is dirty, with the edges rather dirtier, with very small tears, and the ends slightly deteriorated with slight folds. It has small stains of humidity and rust.
- If it is slightly washed and bleached, the result would be very good.
