- Incomplete plumb bob for construction, from the second half of the 18th century, with a solid bronze weight and without the nut.
- The body of the weight is elongated, 17.2 cm. long, 2.4 cm. in diameter and 280 gr. in weight, with an articulated head.
- Ottoman, Turkish plumb bob. The head is hinged on a single axis.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker"s details, or any other information.
Preservation and damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, the body having several knocks and scratches, all corresponding to a rather careful use of the plumb bob.
- A very good and beautiful patina has been preserved throughout the plumb bob. The quality of the bronze casting and the execution of the plumb bob is very good.
- A very rare and hard to find plumb bob.
- The plumb bob shows wear typical of its age.
