- The company was founded in 1847 by Henry Homan and Asa F. Flagg. Around 1896 the name of the firm was Homan Silver Plate Company, which was succeeded (between 1904 and 1915) by Homan Manufacturing Company. It went out of business in 1941.
- The little jug is circular, with a very peculiar handle. It has a very pretty floral design on the handle and bordering the whole jug.
