- The book, written in Spanish. The contents are very well structured and of the highest interest.
- The author, D. Francisco de Figueras y Pacheco, Doctor of Law, writer and archaeologist. He was the official chronicler of the city of Alicante and was a member of several national Academies and cultural institutions. He wrote several books.
- At the beginning of each chapter, there is a header or horizontal engraving. And at the end of each chapter, there are small marmosets or engravings.

- The cover is stamped in black "Filosofía de la Guerra - Discurso de D. Francisco de Figueras y Pacheco" in the act of receiving the investiture of Doctor in Law, in the Central University, on the 19th of November 1910. ALICANTE IMPRENTA COMERCIAL. 1911.
- Rear covers stamped with a Filigree Symbol with square perimeter, sensibly centred. Lacks dust jacket.
