- Wooden and brass pipe. The bowl is made of wood, with the burner lined in brass. The mouthpiece is also brass lined.
- We think that the wood used is briar wood, as its high resistance to heat and its hardness make it the ideal and most widely used material for making pipes, whether handmade or in series.
- The pipe is disassembled at the spout part, between the body and the mouthpiece, as can be seen in the photographs.
- The bowl part is of a much smaller size than any normal pipe, so we think that it is a pipe for small cigars or cigars.
- We have not found any Contrast or Distinctive on the pipe, which would provide us with information on the identity of its makers.
Conservation and damage:
- It is in a very good state of preservation, in perfect condition for use.
- It has been used, but it has been thoroughly cleaned.
- The wood is in perfect condition, as are the brass finishes.
- The Object shows wear and tear typical of it"s age.
