- Engraving Dornech Castle. Swiss Castle of the municipality of Dornach, located in the Riviera of the canton of Solothurn, was an important defensive building. It is now a Swiss heritage site of national importance.
- All titles and signatures are outside the plate. The draughtsman is unknown.
- In the upper margin is the legend "Switzerland - Suisse".
- In the lower margin is the legend "Chateau de Dornech - Dornech Castle".
- The number "48" is printed in the upper right-hand corner, suggesting that the engraving is number 48 in a series.
- In the lower right corner, the Engraver signs only as Rouargue, so it is by one of the two Rouargue brothers. In our opinion, the author of the engraving plate is most probably Adolphe Rouargue (1810 - 1870).
- Chalcographic etching on steel plate, although another technique could also have been used.
- It is in single-colour black tone, very well inked.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
