- Engraving Hospicio del Monte S. Bernardo (Vallés).
- The Hospice of Mount St. Bernard, nowadays called: the Port of the Great St. Bernard.
- It is one of the travelling myths of Switzerland, not only because it is one of the best known in Europe, but also because it is the port that gave its name to the famous Saint Bernard dogs.
- All titles and signatures are outside the plate. The draughtsman is unknown.
- In the upper margin is the legend "Switzerland - Suisse".
- In the lower margin it has the legend "Hospice du Mont St. Bernard (Valais). Hospice du Mont St. Bernard (Valles)".
- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number "5", which suggests that the engraving is number 5 of a series.
- In the lower right corner, the Engraver signs only as Rouargue, so it is by one of the two Rouargue brothers. In our opinion, the author of the engraving plate is most probably Adolphe Rouargue (1810 - 1870).
- Chalcographic etching on steel plate, although another technique could also have been used.
- It is in single-colour black tone, very well inked.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
