Buy Plumb bob inverted construction. Rare. S.XVIII

- Incomplete plumb bob for Construction of the First Half of the 18th century with solid weight of bronze, of 9,6 cm. of height, 4,4 cm. of diameter and a weight 655 gr.
- Very curious and rare. The lower part can be unscrewed to invert it"s position, leaving the conical part visible. Once used, it is unscrewed again with the apex of the cone towards the inside of the cylinder, for it"s protection.
- Large thread size and diameter, with large thread and pitch.
- The bronze weight has a cylinder and cone shape. Both the quality of the casting and the workmanship of the Weight are good.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information about the place where it was made, the maker"s details, or any other information.
- The plumb bob was probably made in southern Europe.
Conservation and damage:
- The plumb-bob is in a good state of preservation, with many, but very small knocks and scratches, both on the edges and edges, as well as on the faces.
- It has a very good and beautiful patina all over the plumb bob.
- The casting of the Weight has no imperfections.
