- The Bavarian area, due to its location and special characteristics, gave rise to some of the finest porcelain ever made, combining traditional German craftsmanship with the superb qualities of the raw materials used.
- It consists of a small coffee cup and matching saucer.
- The whole set is finely gold-plated, forming a beautiful floral design. The gold plating extends all the way around the inside of the cup.
- The pieces have a medium thickness, with a nice sound to the touch.
- On the back, both the plate and the cup are stamped with the Mitterteich-Bavaria hallmark. 2514. In addition, each has a different number: Cup 71. Plate 15
- It is of great importance that the object has a Distinctive, Mark or Contrast, in order to be able to identify data such as its maker, the place where it was made and other details.
Conservation and damage:
- It is in very good condition. The porcelain is free of damage, knocks and cracks, and the vivid colours, especially the gilding, have been preserved.
- The dish has a hair on the back, but despite this it has not lost its sound when played.
- The object shows wear and tear typical of it"s age.
