Buy Ink bottle holder. Norton & Gregory Ltd.

- One-piece moustache box, used exclusively for ink from the second half of the 19th century.
- It probably belonged to a compass box.
- It has the inscription "Norton & Gregory Ltd". An English company, manufacturers of drawing and mathematical instruments, apparatus and office supplies.
- The handle is made of a white metal alloy, with a bolt. It is knurled to improve the grip.
- The opening of the moustache, i.e. the distance between the needle arm and the arm with the body of the reed, is adjusted by means of a small wheel which is screwed onto a threaded pin, fixed to the needle arm by means of a micro pin, which allows it to be rotated.
- This distance is used to set the radius of the circumference to be drawn.
- The needle is graduated and fixed by means of a wheel with a small threaded pin.
Preservation and damage:
- The needle and the points of the drawing pen are in good condition. The quality of the materials and workmanship of the moustache is very good.
- The object shows wear and tear typical of it"s age.
