The first reference to her image dates back to the year 1700, and she has been linked since her origins to the Order of the Holy Trinity and the Captives, known as Trinitarians. Numerous cities have taken her as their patron saint and many churches and temples are consecrated to her name.
- Reverse: Plain
- On the Obverse appears the following inscription: "Cofradía Virgen del Remedio Petrel".
- Edge: Plain without any inscription.
- On the lower right hand side there is a seal with what looks like an anchor inside.
- It is very important that the object has a distinctive mark or contrast in order to be able to identify data such as its maker, the place where it was made and other details.
