- Modernist medal, representing the Virgin Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in silver-plated brass, from the second half of the 19th century.
- Obverse: It represents the face of the Virgin Mary, surrounded by a crown of flowers in the upper part, in a modernist style, very nice.
- Reverse: Depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus, also surrounded by a wreath of flowers at the top, in a modernist style.
- Medal with flat handle and without ring. Plain edge.
- We have not found any Contrast or Distinctive on the Medal, which would provide us with information on the identity of its authors.
- The Medal is made in a personal style with great ease and excellent workmanship, achieving harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.
Conservation and damage:
- Overall, the medal is in a very good state of preservation.
- The significant wear to the silver plating, both on the obverse and on the reverse, caused by its use and age, together with the good quality of the high relief, has given us a beautiful patina.
- The object shows wear typical of it"s age.
