Buy Engraving Sculptures of Canova

- Engraving Sculptures of Cánova.
- The engraving shows three sculptures by Cánova. In the centre Hercules with Lycae. Hebe. Girl dancing with her hands on her hips.
- In the upper margin is the legend "ITALIE - ITALIA - ITALIEN".
- In the lower margin it has the legend "SCULPTURES DE CANOVA - SCULPTURES DE CANOVA - SCULPTURES VON CANOVA".
- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number "87", which suggests that the engraving is number 87 of a series.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
Conservation and damage:
- General condition: Fair.
- The ink is very good, and it has a good stamping.
- The engraving is in monochrome black, with very good ink.
- The engraving is on medium-thick paper of average thickness and regular quality, glued at the corners to another paper.
- The engraving is dirty, and the edges are much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips are slightly deteriorated with slight bends. It has small damp and rust stains.
- If a light washing and bleaching were applied, the result would be very good.
