- The engraving shows the Lord of Mez receiving the Oriflama from Saint Dionysius, in a large form and with great attention to detail.
- The orflame is the banner of the Abbey of Saint Denis used by the ancient kings of France.
- All titles and signatures are outside the plate.
- In the upper margin is the legend "FRANCE (XIIIth. S) - FRANCE (XIIIth. S)".
- In the lower margin it has the legend "Henri seigneur du Mez tenant L"Oriflamme des mains de St. Denys (Vitrail de la Cath de Charles)" - "Henrique, seigneur de Mez, tomando el Oriflama des manos de Sº Dionisio".
- In the upper right corner is printed the number "291", which suggests that the engraving is number 291 of a series.
- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, publisher and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architecture and people, especially during his many travels in Europe.

- It is in single-colour black, with very good ink.
- The upper side of the paper is not parallel to its opposite side, resulting in an irregularly shaped engraving.
- The engraving is on medium-thick paper of average thickness and regular quality, glued at the corners to another paper.
- The engraving is dirty, and the edges are much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips are slightly deteriorated with slight bends. It has small damp and rust stains.
- If it were lightly washed and bleached, the result would be very good.
