- Obverse has a coat of arms with a character engraved in the centre. This character seems to have the index and middle finger of his right hand stretched out, while holding a book in his left hand. The lower part of the shield bears the legend "DEUTSCHE REICHS". Lobular themes develop around the perimeter. On the underside is the legend "2 MARK 2".
- The reverse is clean, except that the postmark is slightly visible.
