- Modernist-style candlestick made from a white metal alloy.
- The candlestick is made in several pieces, probably three, the body, a decorative stand, and the upper part to hold the candle.
- We have been studying the piece and have located a pair of candlesticks made by John Quantock in 1750 which are very similar.
- They are made on bases modelled with shells and stems that match the design.
- Ours have a more flowery and ornate decoration, but without being ostentatious.
- Solid, the quality of workmanship is good. Probably made by casting with a mould.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.
