- Small brass jug with silver layer and relief.
- This is a nice little jug, made of brass, and it has a silver layer with an approximate thickness of 0,012 inches.
- The little jug has a nice die-cut band at the top, although it has a lot of wear, the detail is very noticeable.
- On the base is the following: "Quadruple. Silver Plated. Par. Apld. 234".
- We have been researching and it comes from the following: Quadruple silver refers to items plated with a 0.012 inch thick layer of silver. These items are made with a more affordable base layer, such as copper or nickel, and electroplated with an outer layer of silver. Typical silver-plated items have a silver layer 0.003 inches thick.
- It is of medium size, so it was probably a milk jug or similar.
- Whether an object has any hallmarks, marks or contrasts is a very rare detail and of great importance to the interest of the piece.
