- Fluted jug made of earthenware.
- The jug has a layer of lead and tin, which is the first layer on which the coloured and metallic lustre layer is applied. This type of pottery is known as majolica.
- In our case, the coloured layers have not been made.
- Majolica is the name given since the Renaissance to a type of ceramic decoration on stanniferous earthenware, with a lead glaze opacified with tin and in which the various motifs are decorated with oxides on the previous base.
- Made in two pieces, body and handle. Handmade on a potter's wheel.
- This type of ceramic is probably from Manises or Paterna, in the province of Valencia.
- It has a simple and very elegant design. We think it is unfinished, as if it lacked colour.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on the place where it was made, the manufacturer's details, or any other information.
