- Engraving back enclosure of the Church of Thann, in France.
- All the titles and signatures are outside the plate.
- In the upper margin is the legend "France (XIIIth century) - France (XIIIth century)".
- In the lower margin it has the legend 'Abside de l'Eglise de Thann - Abside de l'Eglise de Thann - Recinte posterior de la iglesia de Thann' (Abside of the church of Thann).
- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number "378 A 355", which suggests that the engraving is number 378 A 355 of a series.
- Leon Gaucherel (1816-1886). Painter and engraver, born in Paris. He engraved reproductions of ancient and contemporary paintings for various archaeological publications, but then etched them.
- This engraving was probably made with a steel etching plate, although a different technique could also have been used.
- It is executed in a single-colour black tone. The inking of the plate is good, and both the quality and the definition of the lines is also good, so it is probably from an early print run.
