- Signed by the author, Ernest Rancoulet (1842-1915), he was a French sculptor known for his allegorical, mythological and figurative bronze statuettes and portrait busts. His sculptures were purely classical in style, but with Art Nouveau elements. They are highly prized for their realism, grace and intricate detail. He mainly produced his sculptures in limited editions.
