- Oil on panel of an old shipyard in Alicante. Signed.
- Signed by Antonio Bautista Balastegui (1909-1995). He began painting and drawing at a young age, completely self-taught. His first exhibition was at the age of 41. His painting evolved considerably throughout his life. In the first half of his life he favoured seascapes, almond tree fields and landscapes of Alicante, at the end of his career he devoted himself more to abstract art.
- This is a beautiful oil painting of a beautiful shipyard in Alicante, with the bows of two ships being repaired in the foreground and small boats in the background, next to the iconic Santa Barbara Castle in Alicante.
- The artistic quality and execution is very good. With a medium stroke, the brushstrokes are very loose, which gives a great liveliness to the oil painting.
- The painting is done in a variety of bright colours.
- The details of the oil and the handling of the colours are really superb.
- We think that the frame is his original, period frame.
- It is of great importance that the object has some Distinctive, Mark or Contrast, in order to be able to identify data such as its author, the place where it was made and other details.
