Buy BONE, BRASS AND STEEL TYRALINES. HALDEN. S.XIX.

- Nice line drawing from the second half of the XIXth century. It probably belonged to a compass box. It has the signature ‘Halden’ on the handle.
- A three-piece tyraline. The bone handle is screwed to the body of the reeds, which, in turn, is fitted into a cylindrical brass base.
- The base of the handle ends in a beautifully carved miniature ball.
- The body has a brass head and part of the lugs are made of chrome-plated or nickel-plated steel.
- On the tongues, the wheel is fitted with a small plate to ensure a more even pressure on the tongue.
- The tips of the lugs are in good condition. The distance between the tongues is adjusted by means of a brass wheel with a threaded bolt that passes through one of the tongues and is screwed onto the other.
