- In the upper margin is the legend ‘Turquie - Turkey’.
- In the lower margin is the legend ‘Agha of the Gemisaros (1540 to 1580) - El Cadi Lechken’.
- The number ‘18’ is printed in the upper right-hand corner, suggesting that the engraving is number 18 in a series.
- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, publisher and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architecture and people, especially during his many travels in Europe.
- Intaglio etching on steel plate, although another technique could also have been used.
- Produced in a single-colour black tone, very well inked.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
