- On the obverse it has the Colonial Coat of Arms of New South Wales. On its sides ‘1 P’. with the legend on the lower side ‘New south Wales’.
- The Reverse is clean, with the exception of a slight stain on its upper side.

- Horizontal toothing:12. Horizontal perforations:11.
- Irregular unreadable postmark.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in pink monochrome, very good ink, good stamping and a regular centring. The margins are very thin.
