- Watercolour engraving of Alicante, of a view from the tip of the quay.
- Engraving by Cuvillier, Alfred Auguste Cuvillier (1802-1887), was a French historian and literary critic.
- The engraving, done in colour, shows a general view of Alicante from the tip of the quay. A large swell can be seen, with several boats, and some people on the coast. In the background, the walled city of Alicante and the castle can be seen.
- In the lower left and right margins are the identifications of the engraver and the printer.
- This is a stone engraving, a lithograph. Lithography dates from the 18th century and consists of stamping a design that is previously made on a limestone with pencil or special inks, and then applying an ink that only adheres to the areas that have been treated with these materials.
- It is quite large, unframed.
