- Engraved map of the province of Alicante, part of Valencia. 1846.
- The map belongs to the Historical, Geographical and Statistical Atlas of Spain and its Overseas Possessions.
- Made by Ramón Alabern, publisher and engraver, he was the specialist in charge of making the first daguerreotype in Spain, in 1839. And by M. Mabon, an artist of whom we have been unable to find almost any reference, as he only appears in the bibliography of the BNE and the Instituto Nacional Geográfico (National Geographic Institute).
- The engraving has demarcations in colour, specifically in light pink.
- The map shows the entire province of Alicante, along with its cities, towns and territories.
- In the lower left-hand part it has a legend, which is divided into: Leguas marítimas of 20 to the degree - Leguas geográficas de España of 7572 varas castellanas or 17 ½ to the degree - leguas legales de España of 5000 varas castellanas or 26 ½ to the degree. The numbers denote the distances in leguas de España of 20 to the degree from one place to another.
