- Engraving corresponding to Plate 11 of Civilisation, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed according to the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving depicts various ancient buildings such as Trajan's column, the temple of Vesta in Tivoli, the basilica of Maxentius in Rome, etc.
- In the upper margin is the title ‘CIVILISATION’, and in the upper right-hand corner is printed ‘Lam. 11’, which identifies it as engraving number 11 in a series on civilisations.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the different buildings of antiquity and the details of each one of them.
