- Beautiful musical table clock. Double machine, one for the clock and the other for the music box. The clock machine is a ‘remontoir’ with a wide wheel to wind it, and probably 8 days winding, although this has not been checked.
- One of the legs is the key that winds the music box, although we have not been able to do this as it seems to be over-wound. We have wound it up with the key it has as a replacement, made at a later date. It is wound on the back.
- The clock is in the shape of a hemisphere resembling a globe, which sits on a tripod-shaped base with three legs.
- The case of the clock has a beautiful laurel border surrounding the clock, with a red enamel background.
- The enamelled dial has Arabic numerals, and a miniature painting of two cherubim of love.
- On the base is an inscription: La Timbale Enchantée. Fab. Suisse metal doré, ‘Didishein-Goldschmidt Fils & Co, Swiss, Fab Suisse, Metal Dore’.
