- A beautiful and curious engraving, done in black and white, with numbers, annotations and names written in French. In the central part it has the fleur-de-lis.
- The engraving belongs to the French work: ‘Compendium of the main maps, ports and roads of the Eastern Mediterranean’ dated 1764. It was made by the cartographer Joseph Roux.
- The map number 6 appears in the upper right-hand margin. The identifications of the different authors do not appear.
- This is an intaglio, a process of printing with strong water on copper.
- It is small and unframed.
