- The engraving shows images of the interiors and exteriors of chapels and cathedrals in Italy.
- The upper margin bears the title ‘ARCHITECTURE’, and the upper right-hand corner is printed with ‘Lam. 28’, identifying it as Engraving number 28 in a series on architecture.
- The lower margin contains the identifications of the different images.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
