- Beautiful miniature of a Japanese inkwell, in the classic Satsuma style.
- We include it in the Taisho era (1912-1926). With a very small size, this extreme is very curious, since
- Hand painted, with cover. It has a simple and elegant design.
- The figures, painted with great detail, represent five men expressing aggression. All figures are intertwined by a dragon with raised white enamel scales.
- The white enamel is visible at the base, with the brand seal stamped in its center. This seal includes a series of signs in gold on a dark brown, which probably identify the place where it was made, the time period, and the name of the manufacturer.
- After analyzing the inkwell, we have come to the conclusion that the technique used is mixed, using decals in some parts and drawing by hand most of the piece.
- All these characteristics that the inkwell has provide a very interesting patina, with a very attractive and high quality appearance.
