- Painted enamel depicting a woman in profile.
- The enamel is signed by: Maribel. We have not been able to locate the author of the enamel, but we have found an author who painted a picture very similar to ours, with almost identical characteristics.
- The author's name is Aristide Maillol. He was a sculptor, in fact one of the great sculptors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but he sometimes dabbled in painting. He mixed everything; he was eclectic.
- In his work, ‘Woman in Profile’, Maillol returns to the female figure again and again, placing her on a yellow background with just a few branches and leaves on the right. This painting is pure symbolist synthesis. The woman is flat in many ways; he does not seem interested in volumes or shadows, but he does work a little harder on the face and the four red flowers, which he gives more prominence than anything else.
- The painting shows the profile of a woman wearing a black hat with four roses on it. She is wearing a maroon dress, the same color as the roses. In the background are what appear to be branches. Mounted on a black frame.
- The artistic quality and execution are very good.
