- Engraving corresponding to Plate 32 of Architecture, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Science and Arts, produced by Federico Gillman, and based on the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving depicts German cathedrals, such as Freiburg Cathedral in Breisgau, Strasbourg Cathedral, etc.
- The upper margin bears the title ‘ARCHITECTURE’, and the upper right-hand corner is printed with ‘Lam. 32’, identifying it as Engraving number 32 in a series on architecture.
- The lower margin contains the identifications of the images of the different German cathedrals that appear in the engraving.
- Copperplate etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
- Produced in a single black tone, very well inked, centred with acceptable margins and good printing.
