- Pencil holder with ink pen holder, from the Second Half of the 19th Century.
- It probably belonged to a compass set.
- Although it resembles a compass, it is a pencil holder due to its small size. It is a rare piece since pencil holders are usually composed of a grooved pin fixed to the body of the legs.
- One of the legs is fixed, pointed, while the other is interchangeable between a pencil holder and an ink holder. The pencil holder comes with a small built-in charcoal stick.
- The two legs are articulated, allowing for strokes perpendicular to the paper.
