CIVILIZATION ENGRAVING 14. INDIAN CIVILIZATION. MAHAMALAIPUR.

Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 14 of Civilization, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed in accordance with the Iconographic Encyclopedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- Different elements of the Indica civilization appear in the engraving, such as Ellora sculpture, ornaments, hair braid, clay vessels, etc.
- In the upper margin it has the title “CIVILIZATION”, and in the upper right corner it has “Lam. 14” printed, which identifies it as Engraving number 14 in a series on civilizations.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the different objects of the Indica civilization such as sculptures from Mahamalaipur, the Krischna festival in Dschaggernaut, etc.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another different technique could also have been used.
