- The engraving shows the stages of development of Greek costume, both for men and women, as well as for children.
- In the upper margin is the title 'CIVILISATION', and in the upper right-hand corner is printed 'Lam. 16', which identifies it as engraving number 16 in a series on civilisations.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the different costumes of the Greek period, such as exomis, himation, composite and luxury costumes, children's costumes, etc.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although a different technique could have been used.
- Made in monochrome black tone, very good ink, centred with acceptable margins and with a good stamping.
- The fact that the engraving has a distinctive mark or contrast is of great importance in order to be able to identify data such as the engraver, the artist, the place where it was printed and other details.
