Description:
- Engraving of Cronenburg Castle, Denmark.
- The engraving shows a castle with a star-shaped defensive system in the Italian Renaissance style.
- All the titles and signatures are outside the plate.
- In the upper margin is the legend ‘Danemark - Denmark’.
- In the lower margin is the legend ‘Chateau de Cronenbourg - Cronenbourg Castle’.
- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number ‘10’, which suggests that the engraving is number 10 in a series.
- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, publisher and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architecture and people, especially during his many travels in Europe.
- Intaglio etching on steel plate, although another technique could also have been used.
- Produced in a single-colour black tone, very well inked.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.

Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The upper side of the paper does not keep the parallel to its opposite side, resulting in an irregularly shaped engraving paper.
- The ink is very good and the print is well stamped.
- The engraving has a medium-thickness paper of regular quality.
- The engraving has suffered from humidity, so the paper has small humidity stains and rust spots, all of which are more pronounced as we get closer to the edges.
- A light washing and bleaching would be a very good result.
