Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 25 of Zoology, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed according to the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving shows various ruminant mammals, such as the Alpine goat, the Chamois, the Roe deer, the Muskox, etc.
- In the upper margin is the title 'ZOOLOGY', and in the upper right-hand corner is printed 'Lam. 25', which identifies it as the 25th engraving in a series on zoology.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the different types of ruminant mammals, such as: Skull of the muskox, antelope, etc.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
