Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 14 of Ethnography, belonging to the Illustrated Popular Encyclopedia of Sciences and Arts, created by Federico Gillman, and compiled according to the Iconographic Encyclopedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving depicts Inuit tribes, representing various individuals from different tribes, tools, dwellings, tombs, hills, etc.
- The title “ETHNOGRAPHY” appears in the upper margin, and “Plate 14” is printed in the upper right corner, identifying it as Engraving number 14 in a series on ethnography.
- The identifications of the different Inuit tribes are located in the lower margin, such as: the Ahtas of Vancouver, Tananas, Codjacas, Colusha, Aleutas, etc.
- This is an etching on steel, although other techniques may also have been used. - Printed in black ink, with excellent ink coverage, centered with acceptable margins, and with good printing.
