Description:
- Etching. Map of the province of Alicante.
- Notable authors include Martín Ferreiro: cartographer and geographer, secretary general of the Geographical Society of Madrid, and Ramón Alabern: publisher and engraver, who was the specialist responsible for producing the first daguerreotype in Spain in 1839.
- The engraving, in black and white with coloured borders, shows the province of Alicante, with the cities and towns of the province.
- In the lower right-hand corner there is a legend with the provincial capital, roads, provincial boundaries, kingdom, etc. Canals and roads.
- In the lower left corner there is another legend with: Spanish languages from 20 to the degree, geographical miles from 60 to the degree and myriameters.
- The title in the upper centre reads: Longitude of the Meridian of Madrid.
- This is an intaglio print, a copperplate etching process.
- It is of normal size, unframed.

Conservation and Damage:
- Overall condition is good.
- The engraving is on thick, good quality paper.
- The paper is somewhat dirty, with some rust stains. The lower right corner is broken and has been glued back on.
- If cleaned, the result could be very acceptable.
- The engraving shows wear and tear consistent with it's age.
